It depends on the service, but the basic process is straightforward.You tell me what you have and what you want to accomplish. We discuss your options, including how you want your files digitized, organized, and delivered. Once we agree on the details, I handle the digitization or preservation work and return your physical originals when applicable.For storage projects, I can help you establish a storage solution and hand it over to you so that you retain ownership and control of your files.Contact me and we can talk about it!

How do I get started?

Start by contacting me and telling me what you have and what you're looking to preserve.You don't need to have everything sorted, labeled, or figured out before you contact me. If you have a box of photographs, a collection of digital files, or an upcoming event that you want to preserve, I can help you determine what service makes the most sense.

Do I need to sort my photos before bringing them to you?

No, but if you have them in an album, then its best to remove them. If removing your photos from an album could cause damage, then we will have to discuss how to best preserve it.Otherwise, you can bring your photographs to me exactly as you have them—even if they're all in one big pile.If you want me to organize the physical photographs or digital files for you, organization is available as an additional service. I generally recommend organizing large digital collections by year because it is simple and easy to maintain, but I can work with a custom organization system if you have something specific in mind.

Do you have a minimum order?

No.There is no minimum number of photographs you need to have digitized, and there is no minimum charge. Whether you have a small collection or several boxes of photographs, you can use my digitization service.

How long does a project take?

Turnaround time depends on the size and scope of your project.A small collection will naturally take less time than several thousand photographs, and additional services such as organization can increase the amount of time required.I'll discuss the expected turnaround with you based on your specific project rather than giving you an arbitrary one-size-fits-all turnaround time.

How do I get my physical photos to you?

My photo digitization service is currently available to customers in the Miami-Dade area.You can arrange to get your photographs to me in person. Once the digitization is complete, I return your physical photographs to you in person as well.If you've requested physical organization as an additional service, I will organize the photographs before returning them to you.

Can you help me back up photos that are still on my phone?

Accepted Answer

Yes.If your photos and videos are still stored on your phone, I can help you get them out of your device and into a proper archive.If you'd like hands-on help, I can meet you at a a Public Library in the Miami-Dade area and help transfer your files for a fee.If you're comfortable transferring the files yourself, you can also copy them onto a drive and coordinate a pickup with me. From there, I can organize, archive, and store the files according to the service you choose.
